Economic Impact Analysis
Economic impact studies provide an objective analysis of the ‘worth’ of any tourism-related activity.
Economic impact studies are invaluable for:
- Identifying key targets and performance indicators
- Providing a great PR tool to demonstrate ‘added value’
- Providing a sound economic model - essential for any type of feasibility assessment, planning application or bid for funding
- Measuring the relative contribution of a development or attraction against a whole sector of industry
Economic impact studies can be used:
- Before starting a project to aid decision making
- To evaluate a project after completion
- After a specific event to demonstrate value and ensure future events will be supported
Types of economic impact study
We offer several types of economic impact study depending on your individual requirements:
- The PRIME model can evaluate the likely impact of new or expanding tourism developments
- The Cambridge model can analyse the total volume and value of tourism in a particular area
- Bespoke economic models can be developed to meet your exact needs
